Sheila died peacefully after a long illness, bravely borne at Lisdarn Unit, Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Pre- deceased by her parents Connie and Mary and brother Sheamus. Sheila will be dearly missed and remembered with love by her devoted husband Austin, adored sons and daughter Keith, Darren and Rachel, brother Oliver, sisters Rosa and Imelda, brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and a wide circle of friends.
To know Sheila was to know genuine kindness, quiet strength, generosity and warmth. Her gentle smile will always be remembered by those who had the privilege of knowing her

Reposing at Briody's Funeral Home, Kilnaleck Tuesday 11th August from 4.30pm till 6.20pm. Removal to St. Mary's Church, Crosserlough, arriving for 7pm. Funeral mass Wednesday 12th August at 12 noon, burial afterwards to adjoining cemetery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Willham, The Palliative Care Team, The Onocology Team at Cavan General Hospital and all the staff at Lisdarn Unit for the wonderful care they gave Sheila throughout her illness.

Eamon's passing is deeply regretted and he will be sadly missed by his wife Carmel, his daughter Paula (Gavin), his grandsons Luke, Leo and Jake, his brothers and sisters, Brian, Eoin, Vincent, Martin, Gerard, Mary and Margaret, his nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives, neighbours and friends.

With heavy hearts, we sadly announce the passing of Seamus McGovern (McGovern Estate Agents and the Bush Bar Blacklion).
Seamus passed away peacefully at home on the 10th August 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Late of 46 Derrychara Drive, Enniskillen, BT74 5JH.
A dear son of Teresa and the late Vincent.
A devoted and loving father of Sabrina (Justin), Charlene (Karlo), Shane (Sarah) and their mother Kathleen, a cherished grandfather of Cori, Caleb, Sofia, Shea, Jaimie, Baby, Jack, Finn and Mia.
Much loved brother of Frances (Raymond), Gareth (Ciara). a special uncle, relative, colleague, neighbour, and friend.
Seamus will repose at his late residence on Tuesday 11th August 2026 from 1pm until 8pm for a walk through wake.
THE HOME IS STRICTLY PRIVATE AT ALL OTHER TIMES.
The funeral cortege will leave the family home on Wednesday 12th August 2026 at 11am, proceeding via Wellington Rd passing McGovern Estate Agents, and continuing through Blacklion Village. The cortege will pause briefly at The Bush Bar, Blacklion, before proceeding to St. Patrick's Church, Killinagh, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon followed by burial in Killinagh cemetery.

Seamus leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond business. Throughout his life, he touched the lives of so many through his kindness, compassion, and willingness to help others. His generosity of spirit, unwavering support, and genuine care for people will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Walkinstown Dublin 12 & formerly Keeney, Cloverhill, Co. Cavan. Bernie passed away on the 7th August 2026, surrounded by her loving family in the wonderful care of the doctors and nurses of St. James’s Hospital. Predeceased by her father Hugh Pa, mother Kathleen and brother-in-law John Shannon. Sadly missed by her sisters Mary (Hugh), Margaret and Geraldine, her brothers Frank (Sheila), Mickey, Pete (Bernie), Eamonn and Brendan (Helen), her much loved nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and her many good friends.

SHIELDS, Thomas Joseph – August 9th, 2026, (from Cootehill, Co. Cavan, then New York, Dublin and later Wicklow) husband to the late Mary Dolores Shields (née Mernagh) passed peacefully surrounded by his children Kevin, Ann Marie, Jimi, Siobhán & Eileen, grandchildren Tara, Seán, Sam, Solar, Alannah, Sofia, Lenna & Rhea and sadly missed by his loving family, brothers Seán, Tony, sister Betty and late brother Brendan and late sister Peg, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and his many dear, loyal friends.
Tom will be deeply missed by his entire family and his global network of friends, (mention any town across the world, Tom knew someone there). His magnanimous energy and generous spirit, the central soul of the party, elevated everyone he met with his magic. He championed his family, children and grandchildren whose broken hearts are only consoled knowing he is reunited with Dolores, the love of his life. She now guiding him, on a dance into the heavens. His brilliant light & love has been passed on to many.
