Joseph Daly

Leitrim Lower, Mullagh, Meath / Mullagh, Cavan

Joseph Daly, Navan, Co. Meath and formerly of Leitrim Lower, Mullagh, Kells, Co. Meath died on 11th August 2026 peacefully, following a short illness, surrounded by his loving family at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown. Predeceased by his parents Patrick and Mary Daly and infant brother Francis.

Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his sisters Helen (Charlie RIP), Rose (Pat RIP) and Mary, brothers Willie (Ollie RIP), P.J (Sarah), Peter (Eileen), Michael (Ena) and Thomas (Freda), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Clarke’s Funeral Home, Bailieborough on Thursday 13th August from 5pm – 8pm. Removal on Friday morning from his brother Willie’s residence (Leitrim Lower) to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Newcastle (A82 NX53) for Funeral Mass at 11 o’clock. Burial afterwards in Moynalty Cemetery. The Funeral Mass can be viewed live via Livestream Link.

Dennis McCabe

Cavan

Dennis McCabe, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of Long Island, New York and with family roots in County Cavan.

Dennis passed away peacefully in the company of his beloved wife Maura.

Dearly loved husband and best friend of Maura (nee Murphy). Dennis will be sadly missed by his brother Patrick, his uncle Emmet, aunt Ronnie, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and many friends.

Predeceased by his loving god-daughter Aislinn.

The funeral will take place in Sarasota on August 13th.

Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of Jennifer Kelly (née Clerkin) Corcaghan, Co Monaghan on Monday the 10th of August, peacefully surrounded by her heartbroken family at her home.

Jennifer will be forever loved, cherished and adored by her heartbroken family, her husband Niall, sons Sean, Darragh, Conor & Finn, parents Martin and Elizabeth (Clerkin), brother Stephen (Sarah), sister Katie (Shane), her nieces, Annie, Lucy and Sophie, her nephews Bobby, Danny and Páidi, her parents-in-law John and Angela, sister-in-law Caroline, brother-in-law Jack (Jordan) her cousins, aunts, uncles, her many friends, neighbours and all who knew and loved her.

Jennifer will repose in Clerkins Funeral Home (H18YF22) on Tuesday 11th of August from 4pm until 9pm. Jennifer’s funeral procession will arrive to St Michael’s Church, Corcaghan on Wednesday for 1pm Funeral Mass, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Bridie (Bridget) McMahon

(née McCaffrey)

Cara St, Clones, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Bridie (Bridget) McMahon (née McCaffrey), Cara Street, Clones, Co. Monaghan, who passed away peacefully on Monday, 10th August, in the loving care of the staff of the CCU unit at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by husband Liam, brothers John and Hugh and sisters Mary and Nancy.

Sadly missed by her sisters Peggy and Betty, daughters Caroline and Brenda and sons Barry and Rory, grandchildren Matthew, Adam, Hana, Ben, Ellie, Meg, Evie, Eoin, Aaron and Eimear, daughters in law Caroline and Maryclare, son in law Donal, also Matthew’s partner Angie and Adam’s wife Karen, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Martin’s Family Home, Newbliss (Eircode H18 C962) on Wednesday, 12th August, from 5pm to 8pm.

Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church, Clones, at 11am on Thursday, 13th August, followed by burial in Mount St. Oliver's Cemetery.

Bridie's wishes were that those attending would wear bright colours.
