It is with profound sadness that we announce the death of Dympna Corbett, peacefully in Rossmore Suite Monaghan Hospital on Sunday 16th August surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents Susan and Paddy, her daughter Susan and her sister Bridie.
Dympna will be sadly missed by her devoted husband Cecil, her sons David (Noreen), Simon (Helen), Alan and Patrick, her daughter Ann (Francis), her sisters Joan (Armagh), Ann (Florida), her grandchildren Matthew, Rachel, Luke and Daniel, and all her nieces and nephews, her long term friends (Kathleen and Mary) and her many friends and neighbours.
May Dympna's gentle soul rest in eternal peace.
Dympna will be reposing at her home 28 Woodview (H18 WK79) today (Monday 17th August) from 5pm - 9pm, and tomorrow Tuesday 18th August from 5pm - 9pm, all other times private to family and close friends please.
Dympna's funeral procession will arrive to St. Macartan's Cathedral on Wednesday morning 19th August for 11am funeral mass with burial afterwards in Latlurcan Cemetery alongside her adored daughter Susan.

Pre deceased by his Father Tom and his Mother Rosie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his close relatives, large circle of friends and his Colleagues on Monaghan County Council.

Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of Vineta Strode (née Badune) 13 Finn Park, Roslea and formerly of Glaslough St, Monaghan Town and Varaklani, Latvia on Saturday the 15th August.
Vineta will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted fiancé, Luis Filipe Tavares, her beloved sons, Aigars Strods and Ricards Dzerkals, her daughter-in-law Vlada Strods, , her cherished grandson, Dominiks Strods, her dear brother, Raitis Baduns, her beloved dog Gerda and all her family and friends in Roslea, Monaghan and her home in Latvia. Her passing will be deeply felt by her work family at Tiernaneill Mushrooms, Monaghan, where she was a valued and much loved member of the team.

A private cremation will take place in Lakelands Crematorium in Cavan.

Marie’s family are deeply grateful to staff and clients in St Michael’s Nursing Home for their loving care and friendship over the past year.

The death has occurred of Andy (Andrew) Clarke (The Sailor), Crann, Maudabawn, Cootehill, Co. Cavan, who passed away peacefully on Monday, 17th August 2026, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Castlemanor Nursing Home, Billis, Cavan.
Predeceased by his parents Molly and Andy Clarke, his brothers Owen and Pat and his beloved wife Mary.
Sadly missed by his daughter Geraldine and son-in-law Benny Igoe, his grandchildren Cian, Leona, Conan & Dara, his adored great grandchild Leo & his mother Shannen, brother Sean (Helen) nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, neighbours, Castlemanor residents and many, many friends.

Removal on Wednesday, 19th August, at 10.30am to St Patrick's Church, Maudabawn, H16 N638 to arrive for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
