Approval for two new Special Education Needs (SEN) classrooms at Butlersbridge National School has been welcomed locally.
Cavan-Monaghan Fianna Fáil TD, Brendan Smith, confirmed that the Minister for Education has given initial project approval been granted for the provision.
The project, he said, will provide much-needed additional accommodation for pupils with additional educational needs at the school.
“This accommodation will be modular and I know that the Principal and the Board of Management are anxious to progress the provision of this much needed accommodation for children with additional needs,” stated the local TD.
The project has received Initial Project Approval - Stage two of three under the Department of Education’s Modular Framework.
It is classified as an extension project and will be delivered through the devolved delivery mechanism.
