The Death has occurred of Genevieve Finnegan Nee McCaffrey, Carson, Dartrey, Rockcorry, Co.Monaghan Tuesday 25th August 2026 . Peacefully surrounded by her adoring family. Predeceased by her loving Husband Jim, her Son In Law Richard Mills, Brothers and Sisters. Deeply Regretted and sadly missed by her adoring family, Sons Seamus (Ann) , John (Alice), Owen (Joann), Brendan (Tasha), Daughters Kathleen (Joey), Patricia, Linda (Declan), Caroline (Seamus) , Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Relatives and a large circle of Friends.
MAY HER GENTLE SOUL REST IN PEACE
Reposing at the residence of her Daughter Kathleen and Son In Law Joey, H18X642, on Wednesday 26th August, from 2pm until 8pm. House private at all other times. Removal Thursday Afternoon to Holy Trinity Church H16XC82, arriving for one o clock Funeral Mass. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please.
A one way traffic system will be in place. Please approach the house from the Trinity/Rockcorry side and exit by the Black Kesh.

Brendan Kelly
Carn Gardens, Clones, Monaghan
The death has occurred of Brendan Kelly, late of Carn Gardens, Clones, Co. Monaghan, and former Manager of Clones Credit Union, who passed away in the care of the staff at Lisdarn Care Centre, Cavan Town.
Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Teresa, his infant sister Iris, brothers Tommy and Stan, sisters Maida, Pauline and Noreen.
Sadly missed by his brother Leo, his nieces and nephews, John and Adrian Kelly, Damien, Bernadine, Josephine, Monica and Anne Cooke and wider family relations in Dublin, the UK, USA and Australia and Mary Lu Masterson who cared for Brendan in recent years, extended family, neighbours and friends and by all who knew and loved Brendan.
May Brendan Rest in Peace.
Reposing at Martin's Family Room, Newbliss, Co. Monaghan (H18 C962), on Thursday, 27th August, from 5pm to 8pm.
Brendan's funeral cortège will proceed on foot from Clones Credit Union at 10.45am on Friday morning to the Sacred Heart Church, Clones, for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in Mount St. Oliver's Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Peter Smyth, Ardee Road, Carrickmacross, and formerly of Rossnaglough, Aghabog, Co. Monaghan, peacefully in the tender loving care of the staff of Castleross Nursing Home, Tuesday 25th August 2026. Predeceased by his parents John and Rose Ellen and siblings John, Benny and Eileen, Roseanne and Bridget.
Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years Maura, daughters Patricia and Geraldine (Philip) and son Declan (Catriona), grandson Eoin and granddaughters Ellen, Isabella, Olivia and Sophia, brothers Eddie (Roseann) Terry (Josephine), nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing on Wednesday at Deery’s Funeral Home, Carrickmacross (A81 C653) from 4pm to 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Enda’s Church, Killanny (A81 VY39) arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am with burial afterwards in adjoining Cemetery.
