Crosserlough and Shercock served up a remarkable goal fest on Saturday with an astonishing 17 goals scored across the hour.
Crosserlough ultimately claimed the Division 2 Championship title after a thrilling contest, running out seven-point winners thanks largely to a blistering start which saw them race into a commanding lead.
The winners struck 2-03 without reply inside the opening four minutes, immediately putting Shercock on the back foot and setting the tone for an action packed encounter.
Despite Shercock’s best efforts to fight their way back into the contest Crosserlough held their nerve in an extremely attacking game of football.
Kayla O’Reilly set the tone for the final hitting the back of the Shercock net with seconds on the clock. A point from O’Reilly was followed by 1-01 from the exciting Ciara O’Reilly who deservedly received the player of the match award.
