A bright and generally dry day with sunny spells and just the odd light shower about.

Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees, with a light westerly breeze, backing southerly through the day.

Becoming wet and breezy as rain spreads across the province from the west through the first half of the night.

The rain will be very heavy and persistent at times. Southwesterly winds will increase moderate to fresh and gusty. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees.

Continuing wet and breezy at first tomorrow.

The rain will clear southwards in the morning, with scattered showers following and some brighter spells possibly developing too.

Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, coolest in the northwest, with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, easing with the clearance of the rain.
