John Joe Gumley, 10 John Paul Avenue, Cavan Town and formerly Hermitage, Crossdoney, Co. Cavan, Wednesday September 23rd 2026, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents Edward and Saragh, brothers Michael and Tom and his sister Mary.
John Joe was dearly loved and will be very sadly missed by his heart broken family, his loving wife Martina, daughters Sarah (Paul) and Anna (Martin) and sons Johnny and Edward, his adored grandchildren, Aloighse, Ríoghan, Oisín, Odhrán, Kaitlyn, Orna and Davin, sister Liza (Co.Clare), brother Paddy (Mary), nephews, nieces, all his carers, especially Fairy, Ann-Marie and Michelle, all his extended family, good neighbours and his many friends.
May he rest in peace.
Reposing at his home in John Paul Avenue on Thursday evening from 4pm until 7pm. Removal on Friday evening at 6.45pm to St.Patrick's Church, Drumcor, arriving for 7.30pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11 o'clock followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu, if desired, to a charity of your choosing, in memory of John Joe.

Liam passed away peacefully on Tuesday 22nd September 2026
at Sonas Nursing Home, Athlone, after a long illness bravely borne.
Old Tuam Road, Monksland,
Late of Bogganfin, Roscommon Road, (Liam O'Brien Transport)
and formerly of Kilnaleck, Co. Cavan.
Predeceased by his beloved wife Audrey, parents William and Julia, siblings Paudge, Vincent, Mona, Hugh, Jacinta, Eymard and his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Sadly missed by his loving daughter Natasha, sisters Maureen and Noreen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
May He Rest In Peace.
Reposing at Flynn's Funeral Home, The Strand, Athlone (N37 WY17) on Thursday from 4pm until 6pm. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am in the Church of S.S. Peter & Paul, Athlone (N37 AK84) followed by burial afterwards in Coosan Cemetery.

Clerkin Funeral Directors regret to announce that the death has occurred of Carmel Lambe, née Lavery, 67 Killyconnigan, Monaghan Town on Wednesday the 23rd of September, peacefully surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of the staff in Drumbear Nursing Home.
Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Annie.

Carmel will be forever loved and cherished by her husband Dermot, her sons Fintan and James (Emma) and her daughters Sarah (Paul Kavanagh) and Caroline (Colm Miskelly), her much loved and adored grandchildren Shay, Sean, Aoife, Aoileann, Laoise, Connie, Eilidh, Odhrán and Ruaidhrí. Her sisters Mary Lavery, Ann Landers, Margaret Lavery, Christina Knight, Kathleen Landers, Alice Goodman, Teresa Connolly and Patricia Murray, her brothers Owen and Stephen, her nieces, nephews, neighbours, friends and all who knew and loved her.
Carmel will repose in Clerkins Funeral Home, Milltown, Monaghan (H18YF22) on Thursday (24th) from 5pm until 8pm. Carmel’s funeral procession will arrive to St. Macartan's Cathedral, Monaghan on Friday morning for 11am Funeral Mass, followed by burial in Latlurcan cemetery.

The peaceful death has taken place in St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, of Patrick (Paddy) McArdle, Drumlandrick, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, former principal of Beech Hill College, Monaghan, on Wednesday, September 23rd, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his father Michael.
Patrick will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Mary and heartbroken sons Caleb, Zachary, Nathan and Tim. Lovingly remembered by his mother Kathleen, brothers Brendan (Fiona), Raymond (Sinéad) and Dermot (Sarah), sisters Cathriona (Martin), Michelle (Jim) and Evanne (John Paul), parents-in-law Peter and Bernadette, nephews, nieces, godchildren, neighbours, work colleagues, many friends and extended family circle.

Patrick will repose at Ward’s Funeral Home, Castleblayney (A75 NP30) on Friday, September 25th, from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
Removal on Saturday morning from the family home, to arrive at St. Mary’s Park, Castleblayney, at 10.30 a.m. proceeding on foot thereafter, to arrive at St. Mary’s Church, Castleblayney, for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m., followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
