Vanessa Fay
Clontarf, Dublin / Cavan Town, Cavan
On 24th September 2026, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of the Mater Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Vanessa, beloved wife of John, cherished mother of Nina and Stan. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband and children, parents Mary and Ray, sister Caroline, brothers Martin, mother-in-law Marie Towell, father-in-law Tony Towell, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Fanagan Kirwan Funeral Home, Fairview Strand on Monday (28th Sept.) from 5pm until 7pm. Requiem Mass at 11.30am on Tuesday (29th Sept.) to the Church of St. Vincent de Paul, Marino, funeral thereafter to Dardistown Crematorium. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to Irish Cancer Society.

The death has occurred of Mary McGee. Ealing, London, England. 31st August 2026. Peacefully in London, surrounded by her beloved family, following a short illness, borne with courage and dignity.
Predeceased by her mother, Rose (née Kellett, formerly Killanny) and her father, Patrick (formerly Cavanageeragh).
Sadly missed and remembered with love by her cherished family; her siblings, her nephews, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, her uncle & aunt, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a wide circle of friends in both England & Ireland.
MAY SHE REST IN PEACE.
Mary will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Tuesday, 29th September, from 5pm until 7pm.
Mary’s funeral cortège will leave the funeral home on Wednesday, 30th September, proceeding to St. Enda’s Church, Killanny, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Joan Dowdall (née Quigley)
Blackstaff, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.
Passed away unexpectedly at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital on Friday, 25th September, 2026.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Larry, her brothers Tom, Benny, Paddy and Basil, and her sisters Phyllis Murphy, Annie Boylan and Detta Lavoie (Boston).
Much-loved mother of Neville, Damien, Fiona and Orlaith.
Joan will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sons, daughters, daughter-in-law Mel, Fiona’s partner Steve, her adored grandchildren Charlotte, Ciara, Anabel and Ali, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
May her gentle soul rest in peace.
