Sunny spells with showers spreading later

Weather update from Met Éireann.

Sunny spells and well scattered showers this morning. Cloud will increase during the afternoon and evening, and the showers will become more frequent. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees with moderate to fresh and occasionally gusty south to southwest winds developing, strong for western coastal areas.

Largely dry early tonight with a mix of cloud, clear spells and isolated showers. Cloud will build from the southwest later with rain following for most areas by morning. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 or 14 degrees in mostly moderate to fresh southerly winds.

A wet start tomorrow with outbreaks of rain, heavy or thundery in places. A clearance to sunny spells and isolated showers will follow from the west by mid-afternoon. Moderate to fresh and gusty southerly winds, stronger at times near eastern coasts, will veer westerly as the rain clears, and will ease in the evening. Highest temperatures of 14 to 16 degrees.
