The death has occurred of Very Rev John Halton PE
26th September 2026 at his home, Tempo (Pobal) Parochial House, Edenmore, Tempo
Formerly of Fertagh, Tierworker, Moynalty, Kells, Co Meath. Predeceased by his parents John and Annie. Dear brother of Betty Lynch (Jim RIP), Charlie (Nancy) and the late Brian RIP (Philomena). Fr John was a cherished uncle and is deeply regretted and will be sadly missed by all his nieces and nephews and extended family circle.

Monday 28th September Fr John will arrive at 8pm for Reception of Remains at Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tempo Tuesday 29th September Fr John will repose at the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tempo from 10am. Family members and parishioners will be present throughout the day, Vigil Prayers at 7pm and Church will close at 10pm.
Funeral Mass in Church of the Immaculate Conception, Tempo, on Wednesday 30th September at 12noon, following which the Funeral Cortege will travel to St Mary’s Cemetery, Moynalty, Co Meath for the burial to arrive for approximately 4pm.

The death has occurred of Mella Hanly (nee McEvoy) "Cluain Meala", Billis, Cavan Town and formerly Bailieborough, Co.Cavan, Sunday September 27th 2026, peacefully in the wonderful care of the staff of the Lisdarn Unit at Cavan General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of the late Frank. Predeceased by her parents Patrick and Annie, her loving sister Josie (Frank's first wife) and all her brothers and sisters.
Mella will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her step children, Yvonne, James, Sheila, Catherine and Fiona, her sister in law Rose McEvoy (Shercock) and her brother in law Kevin Feely (Dublin). Also her many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews, great grandnieces and nephews, her wonderful neighbours and her many friends.

Beloved husband of Rose and cherished dad of Shay, Eileen, Colin and Anthony. Peter will be deeply missed by his wife, children, son-in-law Cyril, daughters-in-law Marie and Róisín, grandchildren Sarah, Kevin, Lauren, Eoin, Leah, Erin, Ryan and Chloe, great-grandchildren Ella and Jude, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Vytautas will be forever loved and missed by his heartbroken family, his parents Antanas and Vida, brother Mindaugas, sister Inga, nephew Jokubas, his many friends in Monaghan and in Lithuania, his neighbours and extended family members. He will be deeply missed by all his work colleagues at Combilift, where he had made many lasting friendships. His kindness, friendship and presence will be greatly missed.
Vytautas will repose at Clerkin’s Funeral Home, Milltown, Monaghan (H18 YF22), on Thursday (1st) from 6pm, concluding with prayers at 9pm. Following the repose, Vytautas will travel home to Lithuania, where his Funeral Mass and burial of ashes will take place.

Deeply regretted by her loving husband Michael, sons Seamus (Ciara), Raymond (Carol), Shane (Carla) and her daughter Michelle (Darren) and her adored grandchildren. Beloved wife of Pat and much loved and loving mother of Briege (Jerome), Christina, Patricia (Ciarán) and David. Cherished grandmother of Amy, Molly, Darragh, Seán, Paul, Jamie and Kyle.

Predeceased by her husband Jim, her parents Patrick and Mary Duffy, her brothers James, Packie, Frank, Sean, Michael, Eamon, Thomas, Hugh and twin brothers who died in infancy.
