Dry to begin with wind and outbreaks of rain and drizzle developing

Weather update from Met Éireann.

Windy or becoming windy today, Tuesday, with strong and gusty southeasterly winds developing and reaching gale or near gale force at the coast. It'll be dry to begin, but outbreaks of rain and drizzle will develop this morning and afternoon. A spell of more persistent rain will spread from the southwest later this afternoon and evening, with localised flooding possible. Highest temperatures of 16 to 18 degrees.

Continuing wet for a time tonight with an ongoing risk of spot flooding. Drier and clearer conditions will gradually extend from the southwest overnight. The strong and gusty southeasterly winds will ease light to moderate southerly as the rain clears. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees.

Tomorrow Wednesday will be a bright day with a mix of sunny spells and showers. Some of the showers will be heavy, with a chance of isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures 14 or 17 degrees. Moderate to fresh southerly winds, will ease light to moderate later in the day.
