Caroline Armstrong

(Carrie) (nee Graham) Edermin, Cavan in her 93rd year, Friday April 3rd 2020 at Cavan General Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late James Armstrong and loving mother of Iris, Mabel and Carol.

Will be very sadly missed by her daughters, sons-in-law, her adored grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Gladys and Mary, sister-in-law Lily, nephews, nieces, all her extended Family, her neighbours and many, many friends.

Private cremation will take place. A memorial Service to celebrate Caroline’s life and committal of ashes will take place at a later date.

 

 

Vera King

Murmod, Virginia, Co. Cavan, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital in her 89th year.

Sadly missed by her sons Patrick and John, cousin, good neighbours and friends.

Due to Government regulations regarding public gatherings, the Funeral Mass will be held in private with just immediate family.

 

 

Patrick Farrelly
(Paddy) Farrelly, Barconey, Ballyjamesduff, Cavan. Unexpectedly.

Predeceased by his father Patjoe, sisters Catherine Anne & Concepta.

Beloved son of Eileen, loving brother of Mary, James, Julia, Angela, Evelyn, Olivia, Catherine, Norbert, Oliver, Margaret, Patricia, Antoinette & Phelim. Deeply regretted by his mother, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncle, cousins, neighbours & a wide circle of friends.

In accordance with current HSE & Government guidelines regarding public gatherings, the funeral will be in private with just immediate family please.

A remembrance Mass for Patrick will be held at a later date.

 

 

Daniel Hughes

(Donal), (Castleknock, Dublin and formerly Clogher, Tyrone) - 2nd April 2020, passed away, peacefully, after an illness borne bravely, in the exceptional care of staff at Connolly Hospital and latterly St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown.

Sadly missed by his much loved wife Colette (Bailieborough), children John, Dervla, Paul and Irene, sons-in-law Tony and David, granddaughter Cara, sister Joan, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces and nephews, relatives and friends.

Due to government advice regarding public gatherings a private funeral will take place for family in Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock. Burial in St. Anne's Cemetery, Bailieborough, Cavan.

A memorial service will take place at a later date. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired, to St. Francis Hospice, Blanchardstown.

 

 

Francie McQuaid

Hillside, Emyvale, Co Monaghan. Friday 3rd of April, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

In line with HSE guidelines, Francie's burial will be strictly private.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date.

 

 

Seamus Connolly

(Seamus Connolly Catering Ltd), AbbeyGrove, Navan and formerly Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan.

Predeceased by his parents James and Maisie, and sister Margaret.

Seamus will be sadly missed by his loving wife Joan, son Gareth and daughter Gráinne Jane, brothers Paddy and Richard, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, staff, suppliers, customers of Seamus Connolly Catering Ltd and a large circle of friends.

In line with Government/Hse advice private prayers and cremation will be held for immediate family only.

Funeral mass and a celebration of Seamus's life with take place at a later date.

His family would ask that anyone who knew Seamus would take some time to light a candle or take a quiet moment to think of him.

 

 

Annie McElwain

24 Cappog, Ballinode, Co. Monaghan. Thursday, 2nd April, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital. In line with guidelines issued by the HSE, Annie's house, funeral mass and burial will be strictly private.

A memorial mass will be held at a later date.

 

 

Mary McGroder

(née Gartland). Cargaliosnanearney, Culloville, Castleblayney. 1st April 2020. Peacefully at home.

Predeceased by her husband Michael and her brothers Eugene and Hugh.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons Peter, John, Michael and Hugh, her daughters Mary (Connolly) and Anne (Whelan), daughters-in-law Stephanie, Rosaleen and Patricia and sons-in-law Sean and Turlough, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives and friends.

In accordance with current Clogher Diocesan guidelines, Mary's burial will take place privately.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Mary's life will take place at a future date.

 

 

Jim McQuaid

Peacefully in the loving care of the staff at Drumbear Lodge Nursing Home.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Mary, sons Seamus and Martin, daughters Noreen and Farona, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sons in law, daughter in law, brothers Frank, Kevin and Vincent, brother in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his residence. House and burial strictly private please due to Covid 19 restrictions. Jim's Funeral Mass will be arranged at a later date.

 

 

Teresa Rafferty

(Tessie) (née Monaghan) Gola, Scotstown, Monaghan and formerly Faltagh, Swanns Cross, Co Monaghan, Wednesday April 1st, peacefully at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband John.

Sadly missed by her brothers, relatives, neighbours and friends

In line with guidelines issued by The Goverment and HSE, Teresa's burial will be strictly private.

 

 

Peter Tavey

Dooragh, Laragh, Castleblayney Co. Monaghan, Thursday, April 2nd, peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Deeply regretted and remembered with love by his children, Sharon, Derek, Gillian, Trevor and Jonathan, grandson Niall, siblings, Owenie, Sheila, Alfie and Frankie, sons-in-law Andy and Colin, daughter-in-law Hayley, sons partners Emma and Marina, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Burial will take place privately, in line with the guidelines issued by The Government and H.S.E, with a funeral Mass celebrated at a later stage.
