William (Willie) Townley

The death has occurred of William (Willie) Townley, Tandragee, Bailieborough, Co Cavan, died 27th March, 2020, peacefully, at Lisdarn Care Unit, Cavan, surrounded by his loving family. Deeply regretted by his loving children Elizabeth, Graham, Thomas and Sylvia, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Rita, Lady Sylvia Townley Peeler, Amanda, Dorris, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, family and friends.

Due to government and HSE advice, William's funeral service will be private to family only, please. Family flowers only, please, donations in lieu, if desired, to Lisdarn Care Unit or Bailieborough Cancer Fund.

 

Tommy Mahon,

The death has occurred of Tommy Mahon, Drumasladdy, Belturbet, Co. Cavan. Formerly of Mullaghmore, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, March 27th 2020 peacefully at St. Christopher's hospice, Cavan. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mai, brothers Sean (Killeshandra), Eddie (Mullaghmore), Philip (Milltown), sister Margaret (Shercock), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Funeral Mass was in St. Dallan's Church, Kildallan on Sunday at 12 o'clock. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

 

Andy Greenan

The death has occurred of Andy Greenan, Drumcrow, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan. March 24th 2020, peacefully in the loving care of his family and the staff at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his brothers Pat and Eddie. Beloved husband and best friend of Mary. Will be very sadly missed by his heartbroken wife, brother John, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, all his relatives and many, many friends.

Due to present health regulations and social distancing, Andy’s Funeral will be private to Family please. A Memorial Mass to celebrate the life of Andy will be offered at a later time.

 

Nuala Sharkey (nee Byrne)

The death has occurred of Nuala Sharkey (nee Byrne) Farnham Road, Cavan and formerly Virginia, Co. Cavan, Saturday, March 28th 2020, peacefully, at Virginia Health Care Centre. Beloved wife of the late John Sharkey, Snr., Will be very sadly missed by her loving sons Paul, Desmond and Thomas and her step son Sean, her daughters in law Mairéad, Lyn and Eithne and Seans wife Peggy, her grandchildren, all her relatives and friends.

Due to current health regulations, Nuala’s Funeral will be private to family. cooperation.

 

Patrick (Pat) Clarke

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Clarke, Edenburt, Virginia, Co. Cavan (Ex Cavan Co. Co. and Impact / Fórsa). Son of the late Gerald and Marcella (nee Cadden). Sadly missed by those who love him. House strictly private, please. Donations, in lieu of flowers, if desired, to M.S. Ireland.

Due to Government regulations regarding public gatherings the Funeral Mass will be held in private with just immediate family.

 

Sheilah Costello, (née Merritt)

The death has occurred of Sheilah Costello, (née Merritt), Drumliffe, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan, Thursday March 26th, peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Paddy and dear mother of Kevin, Julia, Pauline, Martina and Michael. Sadly missed by her loving sons, daughters, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, wonderful neighbours and friends.

Due to government and HSE advice, Sheilah's funeral Mass will be private to family only, please.

 

Fr. Charles Brady

The death has occurred of Fr. Charles Brady, retired Pastor of Holy Spirit Parish, Sacramento, California, native of Gurteen, Arva, Co. Cavan, died on March 25th 2020 peacefully at Mercy McMahon Terrace, Sacramento. Deeply regretted by his Bishop, brother priests and former parishioners and many good friends.

Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Kate, his brother Paddy and his wife Lily, his sister Beesie McCarthy and her husband Mick, his brother Philip and his wife Marie, his brother Thomas and his brother in law John Conefrey.

Fr. Charlie will be sadly missed by his sister Kathleen (Commagh, Moyne), brothers James and his wife Madeline (Portarlington), John Joe and his wife Margaret (Gurteen), Gerard and his wife Maureen (Castleknock), Fr. Vincent (California), Donal and his wife Mary (Longford), sister in law Angela and his 55 nieces and nephews. Fr. Charlie’s funeral will take place in California.

A memorial Mass to celebrate his life will take place at a later date.
