'Shave or dye’

Where: Kilian Lodge Hotel, Mullagh
What: A 'shave or dye’ in aid of the Irish Cancer Society. Please support this worthy cause.

Social dancing

When: Easter Saturday at 9pm
Where: St Brigid’s Community Centre in Loch Gowna
What: Dance the night away to music by Ian Corrigan. Supper served, admission €10.

Cake sale

When: Saturday, March 30, from 9am
Where: Fair Hill, Shercock
What: The Shercock NS Parents Association is holding a cake sale. Great family fun.

Coffee morning

When: Easter Saturday, March 30, 9am-5pm
Where: Fringe Benefits Hair Salon, Ballyjamesduff
What: A morning for St Christopher’s Hospice. Raffle tickets on sale in salon - win one of five hampers, each packed with €100 worth of L’Oreal Products or free hair colour for a year.
All proceeds to St Christopher’s Hospice in Cavan.

Grow your own!

When: 7pm Tonight, Wednesday (March 27)
Where: Bridge Street Centre, Bridge Street, Cavan Town
What: Do you love the natural world of Cavan? Whether you’re growing flowers in your garden, organising nature walks in your local forest or promoting responsible fishing or growing this may just be for you. Grow Your Own is a Cavan based network to bring people together to share their activities to care and appreciate all things natural in our county. Come along to see and learn more!

Agricultural Show quiz

What: The annual quiz returns. With an early bird round. Table of four, €40.

Cake sale

When: Easter Sunday, 12noon
Where: Community Centre, Chapel Road, Bailieborough
What: The Bailieborough Shamrock’s Camogie Club are holding their sale. All are invited along for some fresh, homemade baking as well as, face painting, light refreshments, games, book sale, DVD and CD sale. Please drop items into 'Turning Heads’, Hair Salon, Main Street, up until 5pm, on Easter Saturday, March 30, or the Community Centre on Easter Sunday morning. All donations and contributions are much appreciated.

An evening of yoga

Ploughing match

When: Easter Saturday, March 30
Where: The lands of John O’Malley, Clooncorick, Carrigallen
What: The annual Leitrim Ploughing Match. A number of horse ploughers from Monaghan, Cavan and Longford as well as tractor competitors from Meath, Offaly, Cavan, Roscommon and Mayo, lady and gents loy diggers will also be present and the usual side lines will also be to the fore, including the Queen of the Plough.
