This St Patrick's Bank Holiday weekend has a bumper selection of ents events to enjoy - look no further than the Cavan and Shercock Drama Festivals or the final of Junior Cavan's Got Talent! Once you've scheduled in the fantastic parades dotted around the county why not catch some of the following:

JUNIOR CAVAN’S GOT TALENT FINAL
Where: The Imperial Bar, Cavan Town

What: The grand final of Junior Cavan’s Got Talent will take place with a prize fund of €5,000 up for grabs. See page 44 for preview.
CAVAN DRAMA FESTIVAL
Where: Cavan Town Hall
When: March 15-24
What: The 67th Cavan Three Act Drama Festival will kick off this Friday evening when Bradan Players from Leixlip put on the powerful drama ‘How I learned to Drive’. Exploring control and manipulation through the lens of a young girl learning to drive, it won the Pulitzer Prize for its author Paula Vogel in 1998. Despite the darkness of its subject it presents the surprising, funny and devastating tale of survival in a humorous and thought-provoking way.
A Night Of Comedy

FUNDRAISING WALK
Where: Realtog Centre, Kilnaleck

What: Benefit Fundraising 6km walk/run in aid of Vincey McGee. Entry is €10, Refreshments before and after the event.
PEACE CONCERT
Where: Bailieborough Church of Ireland, Bailieborough
When: 8.30pm, Saturday, March 16
What: Peace Concert hosted by Bailieborough Community Choir. Special Guests on the night will be members of the Harmony Ladies Choir, Lisburn. Voluntary donations on the night will go to local charities.
GALLERY OPENING
Where: Cavan County Museum, Ballyjamesduff

What: 'The Eden Gallery' will be officially opened by Rev Fr Rafal Siwek, after Cllr Fergal Curtin, vice-chair of Cavan County Council, welcomes the guests.
ROUND TABLE QUIZ

What: Bailieborough Shamrock’s GAA ‘Round Table Quiz’ to support the juvenile teams.
COME DANCING

SHARON’S GRAVE

What: The award winning Castlemanor players will stage the John B Keane play Sharon’s Grave. The play is produced by Fr Patsy Young and the proceeds will go to both churches in Denn Parish. Tickets are €12.
MAD HATTER’S TEA PARTY

What: A fundraising 'Mad Hatters Tea Party'.
STARS IN YOUR EYES

RACE NIGHT

What: Loch Gowna GFC have arranged a race night as a club fundraiser. Horses are €10 each and can be purchased from players and committee members.
FOOTBALL PRESENTATION
Where: The Sail Inn, Shercock

What: A presentation to the successful Shercock U21 championship winning team of 2012 as well as the victorious girls U21 and ladies teams. Food and music provided on the night.

HISTORY BOOK LAUNCH

What: The launch of St Mary’s GAA History Book. This book chronicles 125 years of Granard GAA since its formation in 1888 to the present day.
