The Celtic Media Group

Celtic Media Group is an autonomous Irish company whose chief executive is the Meath-born, Deirdre Romanes. It bought its first Irish regional newspaper in 2002 and acquired Westmeath Independent in 2004.

The Group has its own state-of-the-art printing plant outside Navan and employs over 200 people in Ireland. Among the newspapers owned are Meath Chronicle in Navan and Anglo Celt in Cavan.
