One of the weekend's entertainment highlights is a fundraiser in aid of Ava Kellett. Ava (3) from Lavey suffers from a very rare disease and requires treatment at The Peto Institute, in Budapest, Hungary. A fundraising initiative gets underway tonight with a karaoke competition tonight at The Castle Pub, Baillieboro. There's loads of cash prizes and a monster raffle! Bailieborough in Bloom Where: Bailieborough Library is the meeting point When: Sunday, November 4, 11am What: The biggest ever mass bulb planting event in Ireland, led by the Irish Wildlife Trust, Cavan Branch. It is intended, with the help of all our local community groups and individuals to plant thousands of spring bulbs on all the approach roads, schools, churches and on waste ground. Contribute by purchasing a line on sponsorship cards found in businesses throughout the town. All profits to Sosad. What: Drumgoon 'Play-Actors' are taking to the stage again this weekend with a new three-act comedy play called 'Something's In The Air' in aid of charity. Frolics Where: St Joseph's Hall, Ballyjamesduff When: From Friday, November 9, to Sunday, November 18 What: A very special for the Ballyjamesduff Musical Society as it marks the diamond jubilee of its foundation and the first production of the now famed Frolics. The society will mark the occasion with the staging of 'Diamond Frolics'.
