Mr. Terence O'Reilly
The death took place on Saturday last of Terence (Tenny) O'Reilly of Cloncose, Milltown. He was a hardworking farmer and a great judge of cattle. For decades he was a familiar figure at marts all over the area, buying and selling on his own behalf or for other people. He was involved in the setting up of Carrigallen Livestock Mart and was a member of the Mart Committee for a number of years. Apart from the commercial aspect of things he had a great love of animals and over the years looked after a variety of pets and old or worn out animals. He loved the countryside and had a deep religious faith as well as a quaint sense of humour. He is survived by his brother Paddy, by his sisters Maureen and Róisín and by nieces and nephews. Fr. Patrick Farrelly assisted by Fr. Dan Sheridan celebrated Requiem Mass on Monday in St. Patrick's Church, Milltown, after which his funeral took place to Drumlane Cemetery.

She loved to come home to Killeshandra every year and to meet friends and relatives. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Tom and sisters Philomena Collins and Nancy McKeown; and she is survived by her daughters Julie and Geraldine, son Tony and brothers Michael John in England and Hugh in Drumgoa.
