Hard Boiled Egg sets the record straight
Popping champagne corks accompanied the momentous occasion, when at 3.30pm on January 26 last, weighing in at a whopping 3.926 kilogrammes the Hard Boiled Egg Café officially entered the gastronomic history books by cooking and selling the world's new largest breakfast. The gut-busting breakfast, brainchild of Hard Boiled Egg proprietors John and Elizabeth Gaughan's daughter Aoife, overwhelmingly surpassed the previous holder of the title, Mario's Café Bar in Bolton, England by adding a whole kilogramme of food on top of the previous record.
