Quinn Group are the new sponsors of Late Late Show

The Quinn Group has been revealed as the new sponsor of The Late Late Show in a deal reported to be in excess of €1.3 million a year. Now in its 47th year and with new host Ryan Tubridy to be unveiled as the popular chat show returns to our screens next month, RTE has confirmed the new sponsors. The deal is very positive news for the Quinn Group after a difficult year so far with business suffering in the recession and negative publicity following revelations about the Quinn family's Anglo Irish Bank share purchases. Colin Morgan, general manager of Quinn Direct, the group's insurance arm, said: "As a leading Irish business, with over one million customers and 5,500 Irish employees, we are delighted to have procured the sponsorship of The Late Late Show, one of the most successful programmes in the history of Irish broadcasting. The Late Late Show is an Irish institution and we are very excited that our sponsorship coincides with a new era for the show, with Ryan Tubridy taking over as host." The deal secures for Quinn sponsorship 'sting, ' which will be bookended at each add break during the chat show for the next two years. Halifax was the previous sponsor in a deal estimated to be worth about €1.3 million a year. Gerry Ryan announced on his 2fm radio show on Tuesday morning that the Quinn sponsorship deal was worth far in excess of the previous deal. The Late Late Show will return to Irish screens with its new host on Friday, September 4 at 9.30pm on RTÉ One.
