Motorists can save up to €7 a fill of fuel by shopping around in the county, writes Cormac Coughlan. A survey conducted on Monday of this week (March 5) revealed a saving of eight cent a litre on petrol and five cent a litre on diesel. The cheapest fuel, according to the survey, can be purchased at Cassidy's Filling Station in Ballyconnell; while the most expensive was found in Bailieboro. This was in contrast to surveys over the last couple of years, which often found Bailieboro as one of the most competitive at the pumps.
