It is with regret that we note the following deaths in our community over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Marjorie Doreen Bell (née Clarke)

Formerly of Latsey, Canningstown, Cavan

Marjorie Doreen Bell

Wynyard Woods, Billingham Co Durham, formerly of Red Lane, Rochdale and Latsey, Canningstown, Co Cavan.

Marjorie passed away peacefully on Monday the 18th of April 2022. Predeceased by her husband William, parents Lily and George, sisters Jean and Sadie, brothers George, Bob and Willie.

Marjorie is remembered with deep love by her heartbroken family, son Trevor, daughter Ruby, granddaughter Olivia, daughter-in-law Margaret and son-in-law Adrian.

Marjorie will be sadly missed but remembered with love and affection by her nephews, nieces, cousins and relatives in Ireland, Canada, England and Australia, her neighbours and large circle of friends.

Her funeral will take place on Friday 6th of May at 11:50 am at Rochdale Crematorium.

Michael Leonard, Carrickfern, Cavan and formerly Stragelliffe, Cavan and late of Coolgreany, Co Wexford. (Ex Coillte employee) Beloved husband of Kathleen and the late Máire and dear father of Mark, Damian, Feargal, Mary and Catherine. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughters, his beautiful grandchildren Hannah, Connor, Sarah, Ta'shaun, Teneaha, Joseph and James, daughters-in-law Noreen and Debra, son-in-law Paul, sisters Mary Kathleen and Margaret, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Dublin Road, Cavan on Wednesday, from 6.00 pm until 8.00 pm, Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11.00 am in the Cathedral of SS Patrick and Felim Cavan, with interment afterwards in St Dympna's Cemetery Upper Lavey

Vin (Vincent) McGovern

Derrinlester, Killeshandra, Cavan

Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, in the wonderful care of Lough Erril Nursing Home, Mohill. Predeceased by by his parents, John and Rose, his sisters Sue and Christina and brother Paul. Deeply regretted by his nephews, nieces, nephews-in-law, nieces-in-law, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Smiths Funeral Home, High Street, Ballinamore (Eircode N41TD62) on Tuesday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Removal on Wednesday from the funeral home, via route Newtowngore, Doogarry Cross, Derrinlester, to arrive at St Mary's Church, Drumeela, for Requiem Mass at 11am, with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully at the North West Hospice, Sligo.

Aidan, predeceased by his parents Michael and Margaret, brother Sean, sister Ciss. Aidan will be sadly missed by his sister Una Galligan, Ballina Co. Mayo, nieces, nephews, relatives, great neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Mc Mahon’s funeral home, Cavan Town on Tuesday evening from 4pm with removal at 5:15pm to The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Coronea arriving 6pm.

Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 10am followed by private cremation in Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan.

Patrick (Pat) Kerley

Corlea, Lisdoonan, Carrickmacross, Monaghan / Crossmaglen, Armagh

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Kerley. Corlea, Lisdoonan, Carrickmacross. 1st May 2022. Peacefully, at Craigavon Area Hospital, surrounded by his beloved family. Predeceased by his parents Patrick & Bridget.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his beloved partner Mary and her children, Louise, Bernie & Catriona, his brother Michael & his sisters Mary (Conlon), Margaret (Marron) & Bernadette (Keenan), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives & friends.

Pat will repose at his partner Mary's home, 5, Lisbeg Park, Crossmaglen, BT 35 9DA, on Tuesday, 3rd May, from 2pm until 8pm.

Pat's funeral cortège will leave Mary's home on Wednesday, 4th May, driving via Pat's home, Corlea, to St. Mary's Church, Lisdoonan for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in the adjoining Cemetery.
