It is with regret that we note the following deaths in Cavan over the past few days, as reported on RIP.ie

Mick Lucas

An Crannóg, Glenidan, Collinstown, Westmeath / Drimnagh, Dublin / Cavan

The death has occurred, peacefully at his residence, of Mick Lucas, An Crannóg, Glenidan, Collinstown, Co. Westmeath and formerly Drimnagh, Dublin, on Sunday, 15th May. Predeceased by his wife Betty (née Mc Dermott, Gallan, Lisduff, Virginia, Co. Cavan). Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his sons Aaron, Tim and Michael and his much loved grandson Oisin.

May Mick Rest In Peace.

Remains reposing at his residence on Tuesday from 2 o'clock until 8 o'clock. Removal on Wednesday morning arriving at St. Matthew’s Church, Maghera, Virginia for 12 o'clock Funeral Mass with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Michael McCaul

Drumeena, Redhills, Cavan

Michael McCaul, Drumeena, Redhills, Co. Cavan, 16th May 2022, at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his wife Mary. Deeply regretted by his son Sean daughters Caroline, Lorraine, Therese, daughter-In-law, Phyllis, sister Mary, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces relatives and friends.

May His Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Remains reposing at his residence this Tuesday evening from 5.00pm to 8.00pm for family friends and neighbours. Remains leaving his residence this Wednesday evening arriving at St. Bridget’s Church Killoughter, Redhills for 8.00 pm. Funeral will take place on Thursday after 12.00 noon Mass to adjoining cemetery. House Private at all other times.

Mary Ellen (Petchin) Reilly (née Reilly, Glasscarrick)

Urble, Carrigan, Ballinagh, Cavan

Died the 16/05/2022 peacefully surrounded by her loving family and in the tender care of the staff at Cavan General Hospital. Beloved wife of the late Eugene and much loved mother of Donal, Joe, Marie, Roseleen, Teresa and Bernie. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law Philip and Peter, daughters-in-law, Karen and Rosie, her 10 adored grandchildren, nieces, nephew, relatives, and a wide circle of friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Briody’s Funeral Home, Kilnaleck, Cavan on Tuesday the 17th from 6pm to 8pm. Walk through only please. Funeral Mass on Wednesday 18th at St Mary’s Church Bruskey at 11am followed by Christian burial in Mullaghboy Cemetery.

House private to family and close friends Please.

Family flowers only donations in lieu, if desired, to the Patient Comfort Fund at Cavan General Hospital c/o Smith’s Funeral Directors or any family member

Teresa Weeks

Market Square, Ballyconnell, Cavan

Teresa Weeks, Market Square, Ballyconnell, Co. Cavan, May 16th 2022 peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Oakview Nursing Home, Belturbet. Sadly missed by her family and friends.

Rest in peace.

Reposing in Lawlor's Funeral Home, Erne Hill, Belturbet (H14 R583) tomorrow evening, Tuesday, from 7pm until 8pm.

Removal on Wednesday at 11:15am arriving at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Ballyconnell via Main Street for funeral mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
