More funds urgently needed

The Cavan Famine and Aids Appeal committee reported at their AGM that total funds collected for year to date was €4,920.

Unfortunately they were unable to organise their usual January church gate collections during the Covid pandemic. They assure that all 100% of funds collected are allocated to Christian charities in Africa.

Arrangements were made to allocate €1.6K each to Holy Rosary Sisters, Nigeria, Father James Connolly, Zambia (Fr James is a native of Killygarry) and to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Mutomo, Kenya for the education, nutrition and health care of poor children and orphans suffering from AIDS.

More funding is urgently required to help hungry and sick children. Anyone wishing to donate can do so at the Bank of Ireland, Cavan.
