Senator Wilson spoke of the forthcoming Referendum this week in the Seanad, saying, "pending the proposed wording for the referendum, Fianna Fáil will be very supportive of this" and that the Government's decision to hold a referendum "vindicates the Fianna Fáil position". However, he called for the Minister for Defence to come in to the House to update members on the progress he has made to date, if any, in the provision of accommodation for the troops in the four barracks to close at the end of March.
