Abby McDowell
Drummury, Crossdoney, Cavan
Abby McDowell, Drummury, Crossdoney, Co. Cavan. Friday 3rd February 2023, peacefully surrounded by her heartbroken family, aged 15, following an illness borne with great dignity, under the compassionate and exceptional care of the Paediatric and Palliative Care Team at Cavan General Hospital and Crumlin Hospital. Now, reunited with her infant brother: Ross, her grandparents: George McDowell and John Young. Cherished only daughter of Nigel and Audrey, a very special loving sister to Daman and Jamie and loving granddaughter of May and Sheila. Very deeply regretted and loved by her sorrowing parents, brothers, grandmothers and Aunts: Beverly (David), Sharon (Alan), Ruth (Tim), Uncle Peter (Jenny), godparents, cousins, relatives, neighbours and her many friends.
Funeral service in St. Fethlimidh's Cathedral, Kilmore on Sunday at 2pm, followed by burial in Kilmore Cathedral Parish Graveyard. Family flowers only please. Donations in lieu, if so desired to the Patients` Comfort Fund, Paediatric Ward, Cavan General Hospital c/o William Foster, Funeral Director, Ricehill, Crossdoney, Cavan. House strictly private at all times please.

The McDowell and Young family would like to thank everyone, especially the staff in the Paediatric Care Unit and Palliative care at Cavan General Hospital and Crumlin Hospital for their kindness shown to Abby during her illness. They would like to convey their appreciation to their family, friends, neighbours, school community and work colleagues for their support at this time.
Kathleen (Kay) McSherry (née Ryan)

The death has occurred, unexpectedly but peacefully at home, of Kathleen McSherry (née Ryan) Virginia Road, Ballyjamesduff and formerly Cashel, county Tipperary, in the presence of her loving husband Noel, sons Peter, David, Stephen, daughters Justina and Catherina.
Deeply regretted and sorely missed by her son in law, daughters in law, brothers, sisters, grandchildren and extended family.

Reposing at Matthews Funeral Home, Virginia from 5pm to 7:30pm tomorrow, Saturday, 4th of February. Prayers at 6:30pm. Funeral mass on Sunday at 1pm in St.Joseph’s Church, Ballyjamesduff. Burial afterwards in the new cemetery. House private at all times, please.
Isabella Tilson (née Heaslip)
Gartnasillagh, Cavan Town, Cavan
Isabella Tilson, née Heaslip, beloved wife of the late Robert, Gartnasillagh, Cavan, Thursday, February 2nd, peacefully, in the wonderful care of the staff, of Castlemanor Nursing Home, Cavan. Pre-deceased by her sisters, Ena and Stella and her infant granddaughter Cheryl. Sadly missed by her loving daughters, Irene (Ian), Audrey (Ian), son John (Lavinia), sister Sadie, grandchildren, Irwin (Eimear), Karl, Hope, Peace, Faith, Laura and Andrew, and her great-grandson Andrew, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.
Reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan, today, Friday, from 7.00pm until 9.00pm. Funeral service, tomorrow, Saturday, at 2.00pm in Cavan Parish Church, with burial afterwards in St. Fethlimidh’s Cathedral parish graveyard, Kilmore.
