Wild wardrobe plan for new shop
The not for profit charity shop in the heart of Cavan Town, known as the Wild Wardrobe has proven an outstanding success as they celebrate their first year in existence.
Co-founders, Joanna Birsanu and Caroline Vandenberg explained all the ladies clothes are donated from across Cavan and neighbouring counties.
“There is a great need for this type of shop, as we are all in a cost of living crisis, we all have bills to pay, so why not pick-up something that comes at a bargain price? You are also helping the environment and the wildlife at the same time. There is a big need for it,” said Caroline Vandenberg.
“The Cavan people can leave donations here with us in the store at Main Street or at Pet Shop Boys in Moynehall.”
Second shop
Caroline Vandenberg revealed they now plan to open a second shop at the Conaty Centre in the St Patrick's College complex and the push is on to have it open in the next month.
“Our current shop size here only allows us to sell clothing. We will be catering for both men and women in relation to clothes. We will also be able to sell varied home décor items,” said Caroline.
