It is with regret that we note the following deaths from Counties Cavan and Monaghan over the past 24 hours, as reported on RIP.ie

Una Brady (née Conway)

Oakwood, Crescent, Ballyhaise, Cavan / Leitrim

Una Brady (née Conway), beloved wife of the late Michael, Oakwood Crescent, Ballyhaise, Co. Cavan and formerly Crummy, Co Leitrim. Monday June 19th 2023, peacefully in the loving care of her family and the staff at St. Joseph’s, Lisdarn, Cavan. Predeceased by beloved husband Michael, her brothers Tom, Martin and Patrick Conway. Una will be very sadly missed by her loving nieces, Maeve Conway Gannon, Una Knight, Mary Conway, Bernadette O’Callaghan, Elizabeth Conway and Anne Conway, nephew Thomas Conway, sisters in law Josie Brady and Marie Conway, grandnieces and grandnephews who adored her and called her Nanny Una, extended Brady and Conway Family especially Pat Brady neighbours, especially John and Maura Meyler and Padraig Reilly, all her relatives and many friends.

May she rest in peace

Una will repose at the Lakelands Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Cavan on Wednesday evening from 6.00pm until 7.30pm with removal to St. Mary’s Church, Ballyhaise, arriving for reception prayers at 8.00pm. Funeral Mass on Thursday at 11am. Interment afterwards in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Carrickallen.

Eamonn Donnery

Gannet Lane, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire England and formerly of Lisataggart, Shercock, Cavan

Predeceased by his parents Edward and Delia. Sadly missed by his brother Paddy, sisters Ann and Catherine, brother-in-law John and sister-in-law June, nieces, nephews, cousins, family and a wide circle of friends, both in Ireland and in the UK.

Rest In Peace.

Reposing at his sister Ann's residence Glassleck Lower, Shercock, A81PN76, on Thursday from 12 noon until 9pm. Removal on Friday morning to arrive at St Patrick' Church, Shercock, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Margaret Donohoe

Adrumdoney, Scotshouse, Monaghan

Margaret Donohoe, Adrumdoney, Scotshouse, Co. Monaghan, 18th June 2023, peacefully at Oak View Nursing Home, Belturbet. Previously deceased by her brother Brendan. Deeply regretted by her sorrowing sister Mrs. Kathleen Murray (Dublin), brother Liam (Dublin), brother-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

May She Rest In Peace.

Remains arriving at The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Scotshouse, on Tuesday, 20th June, at 1.00pm for Funeral Mass. Burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Jim Irwin

Rosevale, Castleblayney, Monaghan

The death has occurred of Jim Irwin. 67 Rosevale, Castleblayney, 17th June 2023. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of staff at Cavan General Hospital. Predeceased by his parents Molly and Packie, his siblings Willie, Babby, Kitty, Helen and Kevin (who died in infancy) and also by his daughter Belinda.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by his family, his beloved wife Valerie, his children, Mickey, Carol, Jackie and Jimmy Joe, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, his brothers Paddy, Jerry and Brendan and his sister Maura, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends, neighbours and most especially his treasured dog Lucy

Jim will repose at Lakelands Crematorium & Funeral Home, Cavan, H12 RF78, on Saturday, 1st July, from 9.30am until 10.45am, followed by his Funeral Ceremony with rite of Christian Committal at 11.00am.

No flowers please, donations to the Alzheimer's Association of Ireland c/o Peter Mc Caughey Funeral Director.
