Anna May (Annie) Clarke,

(née Fleming)

Mount St. Joseph, Kingscourt, Cavan

The death has occurred of Anna May (Annie) Clarke, née Fleming, Isle of Man and formerly of Coppanagh, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan & 24 Mount St. Joseph, Kingscourt, peacefully on Friday 4th August 2023 at Hospice Isle of Man, with her family by her side.

Dearly loved mum of John, Brendan, Karl and Helen, mother in law of Shellie and Eileen and partners Charmaine and Sam, devoted grandmother to her 16 grandchildren and her 17 great grandchildren and a best friend of Gail.

Rest In Peace.

Anna will be sadly missed by all her family and friends. Requiem Mass will be held at St Mary’s Church, Castletown, Isle of Man at 10am on Wednesday 23rd August 2023.

Sr Philomena Smyth

Missionary Sister of the Holy Rosary, Cavan Town, Cavan / Moynalty, Meath

The death has occurred of Sr. Philomena Smyth, Missionary Sister of the Holy Rosary, Cavan, formerly of Moynalty, Co. Meath, on mission in Kenya, Zambia and Ireland, August 21st 2023, peacefully in the loving care of the staff in College View Nursing Home, Cavan. Predeceased by her parents, Philip and Mary, brothers and sister. Sr. Philomena will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and great-grandnephews, her extended family, the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Rosary and all her friends.

Sr. Philomena’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday morning, 23rd August, at 11a.m in the Cathedral of S.s Patrick and Felim, Cavan, followed by burial in the Convent plot in Cullies Cemetery. Please be aware that Covid is still with us so we are asked to exercise caution.

John Walsh

Drogheda, Louth / Arvagh, Cavan / Beaumont, Dublin

John Walsh, Windmilll House, Windmill Road, Drogheda, Co. Louth formerly of Cornafean, Cavan and Beaumont, Dublin, 20th August 2023. Peacefully at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in his 89th year surrounded by his loving family. John, predeceased by his wife Kathleen. Sadly missed by his loving family Dervela, Ronan, Ciara and John, sons-in-law James and Donal, daughters-in-law Barbara and Liz, grandchildren Alice, Clodagh, Juliette, Shauna, Emma, Kayla, Cormac and Zoe, brother Brian, sister in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

The death has occurred of Maimie Mc Vicar (nee Casey) Cremartin, Castleblayney, Co.Monaghan. Monday August 21st peacefully at her residence surrounded by her loving family in her 92nd year.

Maimie, predeceased by her beloved husband Kevin, her adored son Paddy and her brothers Frank and Denis.

Sadly missed and remembered with love by her sons Ken, Seamus, Cathal and Ciaran, daughters Mary King (Dublin), Bernie Quinn (Aghabog), Cathy Mc Namee (Kildare) and Michelle Carr (Galway), brother Mack, sister Patricia Duffy (Castleblayney), sons in-law Arthur, Paul , Kevin and Kevin, daughters in-law Eileen, Bernie, Anne and Deirdre, brother in law Brendan, sister in law Kathleen, her 19 cherished grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Maimie will repose at her residence in Cremartin (A75VX56) today Tuesday from 2pm until 8pm and again Tomorrow Wednesday from 2pm until 8pm. Funeral mass details will be published later on today.

John; dearly beloved husband and best friend of Cathleen, much loved father of John, Robert and Darren. Sadly missed by his loving wife, sons, daughter-in-law Gillian, grandchildren Louisa and Alfie, his brother Jim, sister Theresa, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
