James (Jim) McCann
Drumherriff, Cavan / Finglas, Dublin
Long time member of the Irish Bookmaker’s Association.
On 27th September 2023. Peacefully at the Mater Hospital in his 93rd year. After a long illness bravely borne. Pre-deceased by his wife Maura and his sisters Rita and Dympna. Deeply missed by his sisters Mary and Sr. Christina and his brothers Joe, John Pat and Oliver, also by his sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and by the wonderful carers at Finglas Home Care who will miss him greatly and by the many card playing friends he encountered along the way.

Reposing in the Kirwan Funeral Home, Ballygall Road West on Saturday from 3pm to 5pm, and Sunday from 4pm to 6pm. Removal on Monday morning to St Canice’s Church, Finglas arriving for 10am Requiem Mass followed by funeral to Dardistown Cemetery.
Eithne Mc Kay
(née Mc Carthy)
Cavan Town, Cavan / Enniscorthy, Wexford
Eithne Mc Kay (nee Mc Carthy), formerly of Cavan Town and Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford, September 26th 2023, at Rush Nursing Home, Co. Dublin, after a brief illness. Beloved wife of the late John, Eithne is survived by her daughter Fiona, son in law Declan, grand daughter Jane, sisters Neasa and Dearbhal, brother Colm, nieces, relatives and friends.
May she rest in peace
Reposing on Friday, September 29th, at the Mc Mahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan (H12C821) from 5pm until 7pm. Funeral Mass in the Cathedral of Ss. Patrick and Felim, Cavan on Saturday, September 30th, at 11am. Thereafter to Lakelands Crematorium, Cavan. No flowers. Declan Duffy
'The Arches', Mullinary, Carrickmacross, Monaghan
The death has occurred of Declan Duffy. 'The Arches', Mullinary, Carrickmacross. 28th September 2023. Peacefully, at Cavan General Hospital, having been wonderfully cared for by the staff at Blackwater House, Monaghan.
Predeceased by his parents James & Dolly, his brothers MJ & Pabo, his sister Colette, his brother-in-law Noel and his sisters-in-law Eileen & Ann.
Sadly missed and remembered with love by his cherished family, his brothers Hubert & Peadar and his sister Mary (McMahon), his brother-in-law John and his sister-in-law Ethel, his nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives & friends.
MAY HE REST IN PEACE.

Declan will repose at Lonergan Funeral Directors Funeral Home, Carrickmacross, A81 D328, on Sunday, 1st October, from 4pm until 7pm.
Declan's funeral cortège will leave his home, 'The Arches', on Monday, 2nd October, proceeding on foot to St. Joseph's Church, Carrickmacross, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am followed by burial in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
