Walk for suicide survivors
For the sixth concessive year 'Friends of Suicide Loss' (FOSL) will host a ‘Mourning Has Broken’ walk to commemorate Survivor Day.
The day’s activities will kick off at 1:30pm, with those taking part asked to meet at The Spire on O’Connell Street.
From here, the walkers will make their way to Clontarf Castle where they will hold a commemoration for those loved ones they have lost, followed by special events to support those suffering any type of bereavement.
The International Survivors of Suicide Loss Day began in America in 1999 and was introduced by FOSL into Ireland for the first time six years ago with great success.
The walk and commemoration at the castle are free of charge and include inspirational talks, readings, lighting of candles and letting off balloons.
At 6pm events will begin in the castle including a candlelight dinner, raffles, draws, spot prizes, music and entertainment all evening.
You can register for the evening event via the following link with tickets priced at €100. https://dublinireland.isosld.afsp.org/register/registration/form
Tickets can also be purchased for the evening event by emailing foslpost@gmail.com or by ringing 014927576.
Those bereaved in any circumstances are welcome to integrate with us on the day and join in the proceedings.
