Suspected bomb in Raclaghy, Mountnugent

Gardai in Kilnaleck yesterday attended a house at the townland of Raclaghy, just south of Mountnugent, where a suspicious device was discovered at a house.

At around 12noon gardai received a call of a suspected explosive device at the rear of a private property.

Gardai were assisted by the Army Explosive Ordnance team who disposed of the device.

The scene was made safe at 5pm.
