WATCH: Youth drama group tackle cyber bullying

Under the tag-line 'Be Aware before You Share', a local drama group sought to highlight the dangers and ultimately often tragic consequences of online bullying.

Kilnaleck Youth Drama Society, along with their facilitator Alice Lynch, and local film maker Padraig Conaty worked together to make a hugely powerful video aimed at highlighting digital health.

The film had its first viewing at the Ramor Theatre towards the last month, and since then has been viewed more than 50,000 times on social media.

Much of the filming was carried out at The Realtog Centre or around Kilnaleck village.

The work is proudly supported by Creative Ireland and Cavan County Council Arts Office.

Award-winning filmmaker and producer Mr Conaty is known for his work on No Party for Billy Burns (2017), You're Not a Man at All (2018) and The Begrudgers (2012) among others.

Under the Creative Ireland 2018/19 funding initiative, groups were encouraged to explore creativity-based projects and initiatives that support and advance policy development in a number of areas, including physical, psychological and mental health; social cohesion; and sustainable, inclusive and nurturing environments.
