Brendan Smith:

Fianna Fáil's Brendan Smith looks a certain bet to be elected. Paul Neilan spoke to the west Cavan native, who says there is no friction with Niamh Smyth and that FF have been working hard in opposition.

"The people have spoken," he said. "Five years ago, we were told that as a political party we would not survive but we worked extremely hard as an organisation."
