Killeshandra Community Drama Group bounce back with their fourth production of a romantic comedy set in the lush foliage of Naples and teeming with surprises at the Corn Mill theatre, Carrigallen for a run of eight nights: Thursday-Sunday, March 11-14, and Thursday-Sunday, March 18-21.
Audiences may recall last year's memorable production of the musical Calamity Jane directed by Carol Anne Farrelly.
The forthcoming production of Filumena by Eduardo De Filippo is directed by Colette Maguire, who directed Wild Harvest with the group two years ago. Colette is well-known in drama circles and has a Diploma in Theatre Studies.
The award-winning play has proven so popular that it was since adapted for English-speaking audiences, and has wowed in Piccadilly Theatre in London and Broadway in New York.
With thirteen of a cast there is a wide community interest in seeing this play so booking is recommended. If you want to hide away from the gloom of the Irish weather and the recession, book a ticket, pop down to the comfort of The Corn Mill and transport yourself to the Neapolitan sun, the lush foliage, where the music is sweet, and this romantic comedy turns on the heat!
• Performances start at 8.30pm. Booking at 049-4339612.
