John O'Grady

Ogrady looks forward to easter songday

The Voice of Ireland is set for a thrilling knock-out round today with our very own John O’Grady fighting for his spot in the quarter-finals. John will have to out-sing two of his fellow Team Bressie members. Just one from each team will advance to the next stage.
The Anglo-Celt spoke to John this week on the eve of his live performance.
“I’m nervous,” he admits. “I’m in a very strong team, my two fellow contestants are both wonderful singers. It’s exciting too because it’s live, I’m really looking forward to it. I’ve just been trying to focus on my own song and performance.”
John remains tight-lipped on his song choice, but has confirmed that he will be singing sans guitar.

Delighted

Speaking of his relationship with coach Niall Breslin (Bressie) John says he’s delighted that he chose the Mullingar man as his mentor.
“He’s been great, we have similar tastes in music and he knows what type of songs will suit my voice. I’m delighted that I’m on his team.”

John will be performing on The Voice of Ireland, this Easter Sunday at 6.30pm on RTÉ One. For any of those who wish to head along to support John on the live show there’s a limited amount of tickets left online at www.thehelix.ie.

Good luck, John!
