O'Reilly, Taylor & Tweedy have some 40 commercial and retail units in various locations around the county and surrounding areas, including a number in Cavan town and one in Granard.
The units in Cavan town may be of particular interest to those looking to rent a premises that will be ideally located to capitalise on the business anticipated from the All-Ireland Fleadh, which is to bring 200,000 visitors to the town between August 16 and 22 this year.
"We have commercial and retail units to lease in various sizes and locations in the town," says Eamon O'Reilly from the Main Street based letting agents. "There's one in an excellent location on Main Street across from the new Dunnes Stores. There are others on Thomas Ashe Street and on Connolly Street, as well as three units in Moynehall Retail Park on the Ballinagh Road."
Mr. O'Reilly believes that the Moynehall Retail Park units, ranging from 1,500 square feet to 6,200 square feet, will be of good interest. There is parking for up to 120 cars and the anchor tenant in the retail park is Clarke's Superstore.
Moynehall Retail Park enjoys a highly prominent elevated site less than a kilometre out of the centre of Cavan town, on the Ballinagh Road. The park is located adjacent to the busy Lidl store, an established Maxol filling station and two prestigious car showrooms. The immediate surrounding area has also been significantly developed with quality housing in recent years, and the M3 will further enhance Cavan's accessibility.
According to the selling agents, prices have dropped but demand is still "fairly good".
"Prices of commercial lettings have come down in the past twelve months, but there isn't an over-supply as there is in the residential market," said Mr. O'Reilly.
