Two black telephones and three other phones.

A SALE this Saturday in Peter Murtagh's Auction Rooms in Bailieborough has about 350 lots including property for executors, estates and the property of a private clock collector.

"In all there are 21 clocks entered," according to Peter. "These include mantle, granddaughters and grandfathers."

Two of the dials bear the inscriptions: 'Ruxton, Baileyborough' and 'Mc Crackin, Cootehill'.

There are many interesting old collectables and bygones among the other lots. You will find an old kitchen crane with accoutrements, a hand milk separator, old churn, walking sticks, some old advertising, furniture items a piano, accordions and a violin. The full catalogue, with photos, lot numbers and descriptions, can be viewed on the auctioneer's website, which also offers the facility for making bids.

The auction is this Saturday, July 24, in Peter Murtagh's salesrooms on Main Street, Bailieborough starting at midday.

Viewing is on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 10am and 6pm.

Peter Murtagh is a second generation practice offering a full range of professional services relating to agricultural, commercial and residential property interests, with their own facilities to provide auction sales of antiques, chattels, farm machinery and general goods.
