Belturbet mother and daughter found safe- alert cancelled

Gardaí have cancelled a Child Rescue Ireland alert and are seeking no further assistance after a missing Belturbet woman and a three-year-old daughter were found safe.

Three-year-old Saoirse Carr of Holburn Hill, Belturbet, went missing and was believed to be in the company of her mother, Rachel McDonald Carr, 45, of Holburn Hill, Belturbet.

Both were last seen at their home at approximately 12.30pm this afternoon.

Gardaí wish to express their thanks to all members of the public for their assistance in the matter.

This is the third time in the history of the state a CRI Alert has been used.
