Stormont meeting targets China for Cavan pork exports

Pig producers meet with North's agri minister

In a bid to open up the Chinese market for Cavan pork producers a delegation of senior pig producers met on Monday in Stormont Buildings with the North's Minister for Agriculture and Rural Development.

A significant number of Cavan born and reared pigs are sent to the Vion Meats pig processing factory in Cookstown in Co. Tyrone for slaughter which raises issues for certification required by the Chinese authorities.
