Ms Teresa Murdock, Old Bridge Rd, Cootehill

The death took place of Ms Teresa Murdock, Old Bridge Road, Cootehill peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 24 surrounded by her loving and devoted family. Teresa was born in Cootehill in 1933 to Owen and Ellen Mullen Station Road Cootehill. She was educated in the Convent of Mercy school Cootehill. When she was 16 she went to America where she worked for a few years. She then moved to England, where she married and had her first two children. In 1965 she returned home to Cootehill and lived with her parents on Station Road. She resided there until she moved to the Old Bridge Road in 1976.Teresa had six children. She then worked as a home help for many years. Teresa was a very quiet and reserved woman. She was a member of Cootehill CA for many years, she devoted herself to the care of her family and was a wonderful neighbour and friend. Her remains were removed from her home on Monday, December 26 to St Michael's Church and where received by Fr Paul Casey and Fr P Corrigan (Kileevan) and burial took place after requiem Mass on that day in Middle Chapel Cemetery in the grave of her parents and sister Clair Norcliff. Music at the funeral Mass was provided by Bernie and Olivia Casey. Teresa is predeceased by her parents Owen and Ellen Mullen, sister Claire, brothers Joe, Kevin, Don, Aiden and Patsy, she is survived by her daughters Annette (Cootehill) Carol (Drumhay Newbliss) Mary (Kileevan) sons Gerard (Monaghan) Robert (Ballyjamesduff), Richard (Cootehill) and Gerard (America) her grandchildren, great grandchildren Nieces and nephews by whom she will be deeply missed.
