As mobile gangs continue to target homes and businesses across the county, one gang did not bargain for being detained by brave local people in the Mountnugent area at lunch time last Thursday.
The owner of the house being burgled by a man and woman happened to be passing his home together with his brother when they observed a strange car parked at the side of the house.
