Good news for health-care in East Cavan
There is great news on the way for Kingscourt residents in the next few weeks, with the opening of an expansive new 15,000 sq ft Primary Care Health Centre. The facility, which is the first purpose-built primary care health centre in the North East HSE region, has been put in place through a public/private partnership (PPP) arrangement and should be fully functional by mid February.
Located on the Kells Road behind the fire station, the centre will accommodate local GPs, a practice nurse, public health nurses and visiting health professionals. They will include a physiotherapist, occupational therapist, speech and language therapist and reception staff. There will also be other services available, as required such as chiropody and counselling. The centre also includes state-of-the-art facilities for physiotherapy and occupational therapy. The HSE will occupy the entire top floor, and the doctors, public health nurses and HSE will share space on the ground floor.
Full story in this week's Anglo-Celt.
