Thanksgiving Mass marks completion of church refurbishments
There was a large attendance on Sunday last in the Church of the Immaculate Conception for the Mass of Thanksgiving to mark the completion of the major Church refurbishing and the completion of the Bell Tower and Spire.
The service also celebrated the 140th anniversary of the church which was opened in 1872, at that time the church bell tower was only built as far as the base of the spire. The completed bell tower and spire is now 110 foot high, and is surmounted by a 10 foot high cross.
Full story in this week's Anglo-Celt.
