Keep your eyes on the Sky Tuesday, January 9, between 12-2pm.

First Fortnight - Ireland’s only mental health arts festival with events aimed at challenging mental health stigma is taking place in various counties around Ireland between January 2 and January 11 with one special event happening in Cavan town centre.

‘Happy Clouds’ will be in Cavan Town on Tuesday, January 7 2014. The artist behind ‘Happy Clouds’ is Britain’s Stuart Semple. Keep your eyes on the skies because ‘Happy Clouds’ is an art piece with a difference a series of unique, smiley-faced helium clouds will be unleashed across Cavan town, a region particularly afftected by rising suicide rates. The event will take place between 12 and 2pm today in the Market Square.

Now in its fifth year, First Fortnight 2014 will see live music, film, theatre and visual arts events staged to create open discussion and understanding of mental health problems, and challenge prejudice and discrimination.
