Det Gda Adrian Donohoe's third anniversary mass will be celebrated in Kilnaleck on Sunday.

The anniversary mass for hero Garda Adrian Donohoe will be held in Kilnaleck this Sunday.

The third anniversary mass for the Kilnaleck native, who was murdered at Lordship Credit Union, Co Louth, on January 25, 2013, will be celebrated at 11.15am at St Patrick's Church.

The father-of-two was honoured with a state funeral attended by dignitaries and thousands of Garda colleagure and his wife, Caroline, accepted a Rehab People of the Year Award in his honour in September, 2013.

A portion of the touching memorial to Adrian in this week's Anglo Celt read: 'January comes with sad regret and bring back a day we will never forget; Adrian, no matter how we pass our time, no matter what we do, we never go to sleep at night, without a thought of you.'

A major concert in remembrance of Detective Gda Donohoe will take place in Dundalk on Friday, January 29.
