New €850,000 library for Virginia

Funding totalling €850,000 has been allocated for a new library in Virginia. Cavan Fine Gael Deputy Joe O’Reilly confirmed the funds yesterday (Tuesday) as part of a €22m investment programme by the Department of the Environment, Community and Local Government in 16 library developments nationwide.
“This will be a state-of-the-art project and is a major boost to the town,” he said.
“The library will service the large population in the town, as well as schools. The new library will make a significant difference for the people of Virginia,” added Deputy O’Reilly.
He cited the project as an example of Fine Gael’s long-term plan to “keep the recovery going”.
