Stolen vehicles seized in Granard and Longford operation

As part of an intelligence led operation targeting the theft of vehicles in the Granard and Longford Districts a number of searches were carried out yesterday afternoon, March 14.

During the course of the searches a total of 14 suspected stolen vehicles were seized, they consisted of 12 Ford transit vans, one Ford camper van and one caravan. A large amount of documentary evidence was also seized.

No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.

This was a multi agency operation which involved Officers from Department of Social Welfare and Officers from Revenue Custom and Excise.
