Almost €40k windfall from less than €10

A tough week for the bookies last week was confirmed with news that two lucky local punters scooped almost €40,000 hedging separate bets with a combined total of less than €10.

On St Patrick's Day last Thursday, one customer hit the jackpot, bagging a staggering €16,630.90 on a €1 'Lucky 15' bet at BoyleSports.

This was followed two days later with another local punter getting a return of over €20,000, this time on an €8 'Lucky 15' flutter on racing at Uttoxeter.

Aoife Heffron, PR Executive for BoyleSports told The Anglo-Celt: “We want to wish the savvy Cavan punter our sincerest congratulations on their fantastic win.”

The 'Lucky 15' bet consists of fifteen bets on four selections in different events. One or more selection must be successful to have a return.
